18-24" Norway Spruce

Norway Spruce seedling.  Approximately 18-24" tall.
 
This fast growing evergreen has dark green color with short, shiny and stiff needles. A common choice for wildlife cover as it is the fastest growing spruce in our region.  Typical height and spread 60-80' x 30-40'. 
 
Wildlife: Thick, drooping foliage provides birds a great place for nesting, roosting and cover from predators and winter weather. Many animals large and small use this tree for cover and shelter including grouse, woodcock and hares.  A common choice for winter bedding for whitetail deer.
